In one of our brochures during the time of production for these bag we stated:
Waterproof canvas and Nytex construction. A combination of a flurocarbon coating on the outer canvas, combined with an impervious, waterproof butyl layer and a non-wicking liner, ensure that the elements won't make it through the face material. Special binding tape on the inside provides extra protection in the form of a waterproof channel, to help prevent rainwater ingress through the seams.
One piece lid with Raindrop lid closure. The zip is carried on a partial cone-section skirt, which places the zip below and away from the top flexible internal divider. A divider is provided to allow your Beta pouch to stack items of equipment if you need to, This flexibility is useful should you need to carry other combinations of equipment.
Optional side pockets. A simple but effective loop system allows additional side pockets to be attached to both sides of the Beta pouch. These self contained pouches are in turn easily mounted onto a belt if needed and can provide extra room to carry lenses, light meter, film etc.
Strong metal fittings. We use strong rugged metal fittings, rather than the more usual plastic. We know you would expect nothing less.
Choice of materials. Billingham Beta Pouches come in the traditional Khaki Canvas/Tan Leather with solid brass fittings or Black Canvas/Black Leather with Nickelled fittings.
