An upgraded version of our popular, Hadley Pro Camera Bag. Fits most DSLRs (without a battery grip) or almost any mirrorless camera and 2-4 small-to-medium sized lenses with accessories (inc 70-200mm lens not attached to the camera). Made in England with 3-layer waterproof fabric and real leather.
Hadley Pro Removable Padded Insert with Dividers (Olive) 1x Padded insert, 2x Small (flap) dividers, 2x large (vertical) dividers
HP Shoulder Sling (Khaki Webbing / Chocolate Leather / Brass) 38mm wide
Hadley Pro 2020 Front Straps (Unstitched - Chocolate) Pair
The flexible padded insert is made from dense, fabric covered, 'closed cell' foam and provides impact protection on all sides, including the lid. Like the bag itself it is flexible front-to-back to allow it to fit slightly bigger gear than its dimensions suggest.
2x vertical dividers and 2x horizontal flap dividers are included and can be attached anywhere inside with Velcro®.
The padded insert can also be removed to turn the bag from a camera bag to a casual messenger bag in seconds.
The front dump pockets are perfect for cables, film, spare batteries and those little bits and bobs you want to keep separate, whilst providing great extra storage space.
On the top-outside corner of each pocket is a pop-clip. Release this to expand the space available. Keep it closed to form a perfect place to clip pens, pencils etc.
An easy carry top handle is reinforced with fibreglass and has leather on the underside to allow you to pick up and carry the bag with comfort, without using the shoulder sling.
On the back pocket the improved weatherproof zip helps protect important documents.
The luggage trolley retainer strap is just below the opening to the back pocket.
The luggage trolley retainer strap lets you attach your camera bag safely to your suitcase when travelling through a busy airport or city.
The top-grain leather front straps have the 'Quick Release System' feature. Simply slide the straps up-and-off the brass clogballs at the top for quick and easy access.
Once the leather softens and you become used to it there's a good chance you'll be able to open the bag one handed while wearing it.
The buckles allow you to fine tune the 'fit' of the front pockets. You don't need to use the buckles to open the bag.
The Hadley Pro 2020 features a shoulder sling that can be adjusted longer or shorter to suit your height and shooting style.
It can also be completely and easily removed in seconds if you would prefer to carry the bag using only its top handle.
It is made from shuttle woven polyester and top-grain leather with solid brass fixings.
The sculpted top flap helps prevent rain or snow getting into the main compartment. It is made of the same 3-layer waterproof fabric as the rest of the bag.
The discrete styling of the Hadley Pro 2020 means that it doesn't look like a camera bag, which is ideal for travelling without drawing attention.
The bag is naturally flexible and moulds to the body of the wearer. Its slim body makes it a great bag to weave through crowds with.
AVEA 7 and AVEA 8 pockets can clip onto the strong leather side panels at either end of the bag. These can add storage or help with organisation to keep everything easily accessible when you need it.

The Hadley Pro 2020 is simply a bigger version of the Hadley Small Pro, sharing exactly the same features.
The Hadley Small Pro is compatible with AVEA 7 End Pockets. The Hadley Pro 2020 is compatible with AVEA 7 and AVEA 8 end pockets.
An example of the difference in size between the two camera bags; the Hadley Small Pro is capable of carrying a Canon 5D with a small to medium lens attached, plus a second column with two small lenses stacked on top of each other. The extra height and width of the Hadley Pro 2020 would let you have a third column where you could carry a 70-200mm lens as well.
The Hadley Pro and Hadley Pro 2020 have the exact same internal padded insert and can therefore carry the same amount of equipment.
The difference between the two camera bags is that the Hadley Pro 2020 has the following upgraded features:
There are minimal external dimension differences due to the different shoulder sling fixings on the Hadley Pro 2020.
External dimensions
W410mm (16⅛”) x D160mm (6⅜") x H240mm (9⅜") (excluding top handle)
W410mm (16⅛”) x D160mm (6⅜") x H280mm (11") (including top handle)
Internal dimensions
W340mm (13⅜) x D80mm (3⅛") x H210mm (8¼")
Please note this bag and its padded insert are flexible - especially front to back. The bag can comfortably bow out to a 'D' measurement of 100mm (3⅞") at the bottom and 120mm (4¾") at the top (centre), at a stretch it can go out to 160mm (6⅜"). The top flap of the insert is also flexible so you can put in items slightly taller if you need to.

Does the Hadley Pro 2020 use the same padded insert as the Hadley Pro?
Yes, the internal capacity of this bag is the same as the Hadley Pro and therefore have the same padded insert.
Do the buckles make the bag slow to get into?
No, you don't use the buckles to get into this bag. The buckles are only designed to occasionally adjust the front straps in height or to allow you to pack a little more or less into the bag. We recommend keeping the straps inside the buckle during normal use and only using the 'Quick Release Straps'.
For frequent usage, Hadley Front Straps are opened by sliding the top of the strap off the brass clogball (round stud). This is a very quick way to open and close the bag, many people learn to do this one-handed as the leather softens.
You can keep the bag itself open whilst shooting, just don't put the straps back on the clogball until you want to close bag.
Does this bag need re-proofing to keep it waterproof?
No. The fabric is made of 3 layers - the middle layer is butyl rubber. Water cannot pass through this butyl rubber layer. As long as you don't get a hole in the fabric or expose it to harsh chemicals (for example in a washing machine) the fabric should remain waterproof for many years. There is no need to apply re-proofing.
What is the difference between 'Canvas' and 'FibreNyte'?
In simple terms ‘Canvas’ or ‘FibreNyte’ refers to top layer of fabric on our bags – the facecloth.
‘Canvas’ is a mix of cotton and polyester. ‘FibreNyte’ refers to our face fabric that is completely synthetic. Canvas is hard wearing, FibreNyte is very hard wearing.
Both fabrics are bonded to a non-wicking polyester backing fabric with a middle layer butyl rubber – this rubber layer makes both fabrics equally (and very) waterproof. Water can’t get through that rubber layer.
Both fabrics have a similar weave - the FibreNyte looks similar to canvas. Canvas is slightly softer to the touch, FibreNyte is slightly rougher to the touch.
People tend to choose Canvas if they want the bag to age gracefully and look vintage over time. This is particularly true of people who choose our ‘Khaki Canvas’ fabric as this looks particularly lovely as it ages.
People tend to choose FibreNyte if they want the bag to look newer for longer or if they are particularly hard on their gear - for example by carrying the bag to work with them every day, doing a lot of hiking or filling it particularly full. If you are buying a black bag it’s particularly worth considering FibreNyte as it will stay looking blacker longer. Also Sage FibreNyte is particularly attractive as a colour – it’s probably the most popular colour among our staff!
Do I need a shoulder pad for this bag? If so, which one fits the Hadley Pro 2020?
The shoulder pad isn't essential but can stop the strap from digging into your shoulder when carrying heavy equipment inside the bag or carrying it for long periods. It can also reduce the chances of the bag slipping off your shoulder if you don't wear it across the body.
Only the 'SP15' and 'SP40' sizes fit this bag. We recommend for most customers the SP40 Shoulder Pad as it has more padding than the SP15. Buying it with the bag will save the postage cost of buying it separately later.
How do I buy the 'Sage FibreNyte with Camo Front' colour?
The 'Sage FibreNyte with Camo Front' colour combination was available only to those who pre-ordered on or before the 22nd September 2019. Some retailers may have limited stocks remaining but it's getting very rare now!
Which end pockets fit on this bag? How do they attach?
AVEA 7 and AVEA 8 End Pockets fit on this bag - other sizes do not fit.
On the back of the AVEAs are two leather straps - they thread down through the leather side panels of the Hadley Pro 2020. For extra security metal pop-clips then clip to hold the leather straps in place at the bottom.
Does this bag hold a 13 inch MacBook?
Yes it does, however it would have to go between the padded insert and the outside of the bag - so it wouldn't be very well protected. Many customers do use this bag this way however (and the previous Hadley Pro) and none have reported damage to their device.
Please note that the device can push out the corners of the bag which might cause premature wear - so if you did use the bag for this it would be sensible to go with a FibreNyte version of the bag as this is more resistant to wear.
The Hadley One has a dedicated, padded 13 inch laptop slip. So if you need to carry a 13 inch laptop that might be a better option for you.
